this year i was so excited for Halloween that i face fucked my jack-o'-lantern!
as long as i can remember i've always wanted everyone to like me, and i always loved being silly and making people laugh. so i guess i'd say i've had a life long relationship with comedy. it all started in the fifth grade, back when i didn't know how to talk to women. i still don't know how to talk to women but that's beside the point.. i would always try to make this girl i liked laugh, sometimes it did, sometimes it didn't, and sometimes i'd get kicked out of class for being disruptive. i got kicked out so much my name changed from tim, to 'outside!'
i did't realize then but the seeds of comedy where being planted. i first started stand-up after graduating from college. i knew nothing except, i was funny (ha, ha). i found an open mic night, wrote some killer material (or so I thought at the time) then went and seriously bombed onstage. i ate it! words cannot describe how bad i was my first time but i will say this, there was a Ric Flair impression. no one laughed, everyone hated me, i hyperventilated onstage then cried in my car.
i was totally bummed after that first night but i went back out again the next day and actually bombed even worse! this time i got booed and heckled. my material was so bad. i had no clue what i was doing at all. objectively speaking i really had no business being onstage then. i didn't try stand-up comedy again for another 2 years.
deep down i knew i really wanted to become a good stand-up comedian so i came back again and again and bombed over and over again. and what i'm trying to say is i am dedicated to the art of stand-up comedy and improving as a comedian and this is one of my first sets after picking it back up for hopefully the last time. i'm an open mic'er and i just want to share my material. thanks.

I had a fabulous time in the Big Apple and I can't wait to go back again. There is an energy in New York that is unlike anywhere else i've ever been. So, if you haven't been to New York in a while then you've got to go because its truly an incredible experience!
