I know you work hard, but working hard is not enough, everyone works hard. You must continually be inventing, reinventing, innovating and optimizing.
You’ve gotta be a problem solver. If you have trouble sleeping try watching C-SPAN or the Weather Channel before bed. It totally works, although I have had nightmares about avalanches of filibusters. But that’s a different story.
Inspiration also leads to innovation, and that’s why I love rap music, it’s so inspiring! Lately i’ve been on a “New Level,” and it’s “All The Way Up”!!!
Do what works for you to maintain inspiration. Shit, sometimes I have ambient jazz music playing in the background while I work because it makes me feel sophisticated. In case you were wondering what I listen to when I write these it’s the most gangster shit possible. But you do you!
I watch this when I do kettlebell workouts
I listen to the most emotionally moving music possible when I train because it helps me push myself to a point where I am literally on the elliptical crying because I’m so hype and going so hard my heart might explode inside my chest and I think I’ll die because when i’m working out I kinda want to, I want to be used to being in situations so painful that the stress of real life ain’t shit that is what I do when I train...
TRY. You’ve gotta try… I’ll never stop trying going balls to the wall, which is hard because sometimes my nuts end up pressed against my neighbors sliding glass door. Heineken, you did it again! (note: be more personally accountable)
Innovation means always getting better.
This is what the best looks like.
Rich people think they can always make more money… you should feel that way about getting better. When you focus on getting better you stoke a fire inside you that burns ever brighter and draws abundance toward you. It makes you stronger and you must be strong because only the strong survive. People call favoriting their own tweets needy and narcissistic, I call it confidence in what I do! People are attracted to the bold brashness of a confident up and comer. Be a killer onstage, the basketball court, in business, and in self-innovation.
Everyone works hard but are you always getting better? We must always be improving, innovating, and optimizing.
Thanks,
-Tim
