What will you do for your freedom? It’s a question that i’ve been asking myself a lot over the last few months. I’m not talking about that, “I’d suit up (join the military) to take on terrorists for our freedom” freedom. I’m not talking about that “freedom to buy taquitos from 7-11 at 3 o’clock in the morning” freedom either. I’m talking about financial freedom. What would you do for financial freedom?
I believe what we’re here for is to pursue our passions in life. That is what I think the meaning of life is… Sorta, because that’s not really the meaning of life, that’s just one of many instructions on how you’re supposed to live your life.
Anyway, I’ve come to the conclusion that money is the key to freedom. It’s such a capitalist thing to say but it’s darn accurate. Money allows you the ability to do things you just can’t do without money. You need enough money so that you can PURSUE YOUR DREAM, and if you have big dreams you’re going to need big money!
You need enough, TO PURSUE YOUR DREAM my friend, you think that the obligatory, “Enough to keep food in the fridge, all your bills paid, some for savings, and some in that emergency fund” is enough? NO, you’ve gotta get more money futhamucka!
Remember, you’ll need way more than you think because you’ve never done what you’re trying to do, and you’re probably (you might not, who knows?) going to waste a lot of money along the way... I know I have ;) . Assume there will be so many unforeseen expenses along the way that your head will be perpetually spinning. If you’re not imagining that then you’re not using your head. Knock-knock-knock, Anybody home McFly?
Financial freedom allows you the ability to pursue your passion.
Financial issues compromise your pursuit.
How much money do you need? Enough money so that you can pursue your dream then go do it!
The key to maintaining momentum toward your goal of financial freedom is keeping a work/life balance.
Thanks,
